MLM Tips – Generating Leads is Only Half of the Process
If you have an MLM business, then you probably spend a lot of time figuring out how to get leads. While there is no question that getting leads is a critical component to building a successful MLM business, getting leads is really only 50% of the battle.
The other 50%, and one of the most important MLM tips I can ever give you, is understanding how to convert your leads into associates and members of your downline. After all, what good is it to have a bunch of names if you never get them into your business?
In fact, of all the MLM tips I am asked to provide, how to get a lead to say yes — or even to change their initial no to you a yes — is actually one of the top ones. To understand how to make this happen, you will need to make a shift from the way the majority of MLM business owners think about their leads.
It is time to stop thinking about how to sell them on your opportunity, and time to start thinking about how to show your leads that you have something that THEY want. Think about how you feel when someone tries to give you a “hard sell.” It feels like they are going straight for your wallet, and couldn’t care less who you are and what you need.
So start to think of yourself and your job as being a problem solver. What you have to offer these leads is a SOLUTION to whatever they are looking for or to whatever problem they are trying to solve. Therefore, understanding what your leads are looking for is the first part of this MLM tip.
The second part of this — and one of the most critically important MLM tips is to make sure you are diversifying your communication methods with your leads.
Expand your reach and approach your audience using different “tools” in your marketing bag of tricks.
Have more of an abundance mentality when it comes to your leads — Just because a lead didn’t say yes to you today doesn’t mean that another day or in response to a different approach they won’t say yes tomorrow.
Also, and if you remember no other part of these MLM tips then remember this, remember that all it will take is hitting on the right “WHY” that will mean the difference between a no and a yes from a lead. Try testing and tweaking your message and your offer. If you can tell a lead why they need to take action immediately and create enough value and benefits for them, then you will start to see a lot more leads becoming associates and members of your downline.
