Fluhme Review: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
Fluhme Review: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
By Kristen S.
This is my unbiased Fluhme review. I am not affiliated in any way with Fluhme.
Before continuing with this review if you’re serious about adding more new associates next month than you did during all of last year, read this report, “How To Create Your First 6 Figure Month In Network Marketing”.
Based upon the limited amount of information I could find about this company when doing research for this Fluhme review, there are certain facts which I am unable to verify. So there will be some speculation involved here, but I’ll do my best.
Fluhme is a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based skin care and cosmetics company created by (and named after) founder Tiffany Fluhme. The company states that its line of products stands out from other companies selling similar products based on the fact that it is “Professional Grade skin care products… [with] ingredients and percentages of retinols and acids, etc. … superior to what is being sold by other companies.”
It’s other “hook” is its line of “baked” Italian cosmetics. The company says is “one of the few companies who offer Italian baked make-up in the United States.”
The Good…
I’m afraid that the good portion of this Fluhme review will be somewhat brief. It is not that there may not be good things to say about this company, but more that there are a lot of question marks associated with this company. I had a very difficult time finding much information at all about this company online.
For example, I could put part of the company’s website in the good column of this Fluhme review — particularly the part relating to the product line. I thought that the company does a nice job of showcasing its product line and, in particular, the color and variety of its makeup line.
I would also put the way the company distinguishes its product line — particularly in terms of the whole “Italian baked cosmetics” thing — as a good in this Flume review, because it gives its associates (or “Beauty Artists” as they are called in this company) help in being able to market this product line.
The Bad…
Unfortunately, I must put the majority of things I have to say in this Fluhme review in the “bad” and the “ugly” sections. There are a number of question marks with this company that I am going to put in the bad section simply because they are question marks.
Let’s first talk about the “management team.” Nowhere in the company’s website do I see reference to the management team. The only person referenced at all is the founder, Tiffany Fluhme.
How do they tout her management experience? It is stated to be that she is a “model, actress, spokesperson, makeup artist, physician’s assistant, mother, wife, and now C.E.O. of her own cosmetics company…” Not that someone like that can’t run a great company, but without knowing ANYTHING about who else is working behind the scenes, I am putting the management team under the “bad” section of this Fluhme review.
The newness of this company also is going to put it in the “bad” section of this Fluhme review. While it appears that this company has been around as a regional company for over a decade, the company as a home-based business national business was only launched in November of 2009. There is just plain and simple not enough of a track record to feel confident yet in this company.
My final “bad” in this Fluhme review is the company’s website. Not that it is aesthetically unappealing or difficult to navigate for certain things (like finding and viewing the product line), but in terms of people looking for and understanding the business opportunity the company offers it is very poorly done and very unclear.
The Ugly…
There are few things I am going to classify as “ugly” in terms of this Fluhme review. The first of which is the compensation plan. Truthfully, the compensation plan may be fantastic and amazing, but I wouldn’t know that because I still am unable to find it.
There is no fully articulated compensation plan described on the company’s website. My best guess based on the the little information provided by the website and information I found online, is that most (if not all) of the money someone can make is generated from product sales and having home parties.
I saw one site online that states the commission structure to be as follows: “Base 40-45% with team overrides up to 10%.” Frankly, I don’t know exactly what that means. That same website also states that you only stay active as an associate in this company if you earn $300.00 every three months.
The other “ugly” about this company that I am going to mention in this Fluhme review is that it — like SO many network marketing companies — teaches its associates to market using outdated and ineffective marketing techniques.
In an interview I saw with founder Tiffany Fluhme, she encapsulates this perfectly. In response to a question about how someone can get involved and build a business with Fluhme, she says “The first is to be a Fluhme customer and experience our amazing products. The second is to host a Fluhme Beauty event and introduce the products to your friends and family while earning tons of free products yourself. The best opportunity is to become a Fluhme Beauty Artist and run a wonderful at home business.”
Trying to grow any network marketing business can be extremely difficult if you don’t know how to do it — and especially if you follow the traditional advice given by most companies in which you tap into your “warm market” and approach friends and family to build your business. This does not position you as an expert or for success in this business.
The key to succeeding in any network marketing business is to have a flood of leads coming in every day of people who are looking for YOU — you want to be the hunted instead of the hunter. When you know how to do this, success (and BIG TIME success) in network marketing is possible.

Thank you for your review Kristen. I would agree with you that there is little information about Fluhme available online. And I would contribute that to Fluhme being a newly launched direct selling company that initially focused on developing the business where the company is headquartered – Pittsburgh, PA. There have been some positive changes that has since moved the company in an upward direction on a national level – i.e. corporate training programs, new product launches, and other resources to help a Beauty Artist run a successful business.
Fluhme is definitely a ground-floor opportunity with less than 200 Beauty Artists nationwide…people joining today can very much become the first in their state!
