Pre-Paid Legal Services Review: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

By Kristen S.

This is my unbiased Pre-Paid Legal Services review. I am not affiliated in any way with Pre-Paid Legal Services.

Before continuing with this review if you’re serious about adding more new associates next month than you did during all of last year, read this report, “How To Create Your First 6 Figure Month In Network Marketing”.

This company has roots going back to the early 70′s, and has been a publicly traded company since 1979. Pre-Paid Legal sells what can loosely be described as ‘legal insurance.’ Essentially people pay a certain amount (either monthly or annually) for the service. It entitles them to get certain legal services free of charge and others at a discount from attorneys affiliated with the company. Of course, like with any type of ‘insurance,’ certain things like criminal matters and tort litigation matters are not covered.

So for anyone considering joining this company, here is my Pre-Paid Legal Services review … the good, the bad and the ugly.

The “Good”…

I am putting the product itself in both the “good” and “bad” sections of this Pre-Paid Legal Services review. The product itself is very unique and is marketable.

Joining this company is very inexpensive — costing somewhere around $72 — so that definitely puts it in the “good” section of my Pre-Paid Legal Services review. Also, the “product” itself is fairly inexpensive — costing about $26 a month or so — so that could be considered to make it easier to market.

The management team has a lot of collective experience, and seems to be a very solid team. The length of time this company has been around combined with the experience of its management team is another “good” in terms of this Pre-Paid Legal Services review.

The “Bad”…

I am going to put the comp plan in the “bad” section of this Pre-Paid Legal Services review for the simple reason that unless you find it elsewhere, the website’s explanation of it is unclear and confusing. There is no pdf or downloadable version of the comp plan anywhere that I can see.

While the overall product is a definite “good” for me, the exclusions (the what’s included versus what is not included) for the ‘insurance’ may cause complications and will require associates to be very good “explainers.” There are a lot of people who may not get the distinction between what this ‘legal insurance’ will cover, and what channels you have to go through to take advantage of the covered services. This aspect of the product COULD be a “bad” (and I am putting it in the “bad” section of my Pre-Paid Legal Services review), BUT you can overcome this issue if you know how to properly market this service.

The “Ugly”…

There are many (in fact the majority) people who struggle or outright fail in network marketing businesses. Trying to successfully market this product can be very difficult if you don’t understand how to do it so that people are chasing you (instead of you chasing and having to twist people’s arms) to get into your business.

If, however, you learn certain marketing fundamentals and implement them inside a good marketing strategy, you can achieve massive success and build a massive business with this company.
